On M&Ms

I have two M&Ms, one red one green. I shake them, don't look at them, and put them into two match-boxes. I send one matchbox to Alice and one to Bob. Alice opens her's, collapses the state, and observes its green.

Do the M&Ms have choice in choosing which color they are while in transit? Is there a 'spooky,' but physical, connection between them? I would say, only if we can exploit that connection and send messages between Alice and Bob, otherwise we are just observing statistical correspondence between undetermined, but absolute, states.

QM looks at what probabilistic relation exists between the shaker and the M&Ms. I don't see anything magical yet.

I prefer M&Ms over marbles since they taste better.
